Q: Can I use Tour Guide instead of taking traditional Island tours?
Absolutely. Traditional bus or taxi tours cost between $60 and $150 dollars a day per person. Even the most complete tours only show you about a dozen sites, and you go on their time, on their route and only to the sites they choose. Tour Guide will take a whole carload of people to anywhere they choose on the island, to as many sites as they want to visit and for as many days as they want to rent it. We offer a further special rate of $19.95 a day for rentals of 6 days or more. You may rent Tour Guide for as many days as you wish. Many people find it easiest to rent Tour Guide the day before they plan a driving adventure so that they can pre-plan, check out the exciting sites along their route and find the unexpected.

Q: What kinds of information does Tour Guide contain?
In addition to the standard maps and navigation information even simple navigational GPS' contain, Tour Guide contains over 600 audio video presentations highlighting the history and culture of Hawaii Island, the recreational opportunities available, shopping, dining and touring. Also, for safety and convenience, Tour Guide lists the hospitals and clinics, police stations, and libraries around the island. It even has the public restrooms listed!
